2023 Honda Jazz: Preview, Specs, Feaures, Facelift

The current generation of Honda’s small city car has been around for more than two years and it established a good position on the market. It is widely considered one of the best models in the class, thanks to the efficient hybrid powertrain, quality interior, good maneuverability etc. Therefore, we are pretty sure that the Japanese manufacturer won’t hurry with updates. We expect to see a familiar layout, especially in Europe, where this small hatchback goes with a hybrid powertrain only. The 2023 Honda Jazz should bring minor updates only.

This would mean a familiar layout, which has a lot of great things to offer. We like the powertrain, which offers a good balance between performance and efficiency. Furthermore, the cabin is among the nicest in the class, while the driving position and visibility are excellent. On the other hand, the car would use a little bit more space in the trunk.

As there are no significant updates to come, we presume that the 2023 Honda Jazz will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Honda Jazz Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Honda Jazz definitely won’t bring any notable change. We are about to see a familiar design, which brings a pretty interesting appearance to the table. The styling doesn’t have much in common with bigger models in the lineup, especially at the front. Still, Jazz’s unique styling approach is something we used in the previous generation and in the market full of small hatchbacks that mimic their bigger sibling, this car is a real refreshment.

The beauty of Jazz is in its simple setup. The chassis is rigid, while the suspension setup is very simple, which translates to durability and cheap maintenance costs. However, the compromise comes in the form of a firm ride and not particularly engaging handling.

Interior

The quirky interior design is definitely something to like about the Jazz and the next year’s model won’t change that. You may count on a pretty funky dashboard design, which doesn’t just feature interesting shapes, but also comes with high-quality materials and pretty impressive build quality, a step above most competitors.

The sound insulation is okay, though you may expect a little bit of wind noise at higher speeds. On the other hand, the seating position is excellent, while the glass surfaces are large, which means excellent visibility in all directions.

The front seats are spacious and comfortable, while the second row accommodates adults as well. Once again, the rear seats flip up, making this small harch extremely practical. The cargo area is large, but rivals like Seat Ibiza offer even more.

2023 Honda Jazz Engine

Although we’ve been hearing rumors about the all-electric version, it looks like the 2023 Honda Jazz will remain with just one powertrain option on the offer. Of course, we are talking about the familiar hybrid system, which is based on a 1.5-liter engine. The total output goes around 110 horsepower and that’s enough to ensure pretty decent acceleration. This small hatch needs about 9 seconds to hit 100 km/h, which is surprisingly good for the segment. The top speed is 174 km/h.

The engine comes coupled with CVT, which is perfect for driving around town. On the other hand, it feels noisy on the open road and totally kills the driving fun. Still, the reward comes in excellent fuel economy, which goes around 4.5 L/100km in a combined drive.

2023 Honda Jazz Release Date and Price

We expect to see the 2023 Honda Jazz sometime in the last quarter of the year. The starting price should go around 23.000 Euro and 20.000 GBP in the UK.
