2023 Acura Integra Price, Engine, Horsepower, Engine, AWD, Pictures

Bringing back popular nameplates from the past is a pretty common thing on today’s market and in the case of Acura, there is no better name to bring back than Integra. The iconic sports car is one of the most legendary models from the ‘90s and even today, it is one of the best handling FWD cars in the world. The new model has been officially confirmed and it is expected to arrive sometime in the second half of 2022, as the 2023 Acura Integra.

At this point, the exact details are still unavailable. However, some of the things about the 2023 Acura Integra are already known, while some of them are pretty easy to be predicted. We know for sure that the new model will be heavily related to the new Civic, while the body style will probably be slightly different compared to the original.

AS we’ve just mentioned, the new model will probably hit the market sometime in the second half of the next year.

2023 Acura Integra Design

When it comes to the overall design, we know for sure that the 2023 Acura Integra will represent the brand in the entry-level sports car segment. It will come as the replacement for the ILX, which should end its production in the near future. At this point, we know for sure that the new Integra will have a lot of things in common with the new Civic. The two models should share the platform and most of the mechanics. This includes the drivetrain as well.

However, we also count on further upgrades, especially in terms of suspension and chassis setup. The new Civic offers good handling, but the new Integra should bring everything to the next level. Of course, the brakes should be bigger as well, while we also presume that the steering will be more direct and sporty-oriented.

Exterior

The new 2023 Acura Integra will have a lot of things in common with the 11th generation Civic and this also refers to the overall size. The wheelbase should be the same, while the other proportions should be quite similar as well. On the other hand, most reports suggest a little bit different body style compared to the original Integra. While the original model came as a two-door coupe, the new iteration will feature a four-door layout, with a little bit of sloping roof design. However, we won’t exclude the possibility to see a 2-door coupe on the offer one day.

When it comes to styling, the 2023 Acura Integra will follow the brand’s latest design language. This would mean things like sharp headlights, sharp grille design, and a lot of sharp edges in other areas, which is a quite typical thing for Acura models.

Interior

The interior design is still a mystery, at least when it comes to the dashboard. Still, we presume that some parts will be borrowed from the new MDX, especially in terms of tech goodies, such as infotainment screen, instrument cluster etc. Of course, we count on the nice materials all around the cabin, while the long list of standard and available equipment also looks like a certain thing.

As we already mentioned, the new model will come with four doors, while the seating capacity will probably be for four passengers. Considering the expected sloping roof design, headroom probably won’t be particularly generous. On the other hand, we expect no troubles with legroom. The cargo area should offer relatively decent volume as well.

2023 Acura Integra Engines

Of course, this is one of the most interesting parts of the 2023 Acura Integra. First of all, the overall drivetrain setup will be pretty similar to the original model. This means a front-wheel-drive layout, as well as a manual transmission, which is one of the best in the business. Unfortunately, the new model won’t come with a high-revving engine. Instead, you may count on a turbocharged.

Most likely, base models will come equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine, with the same version that powers the Civic Si, with the max output of around 205 horsepower. A high-performance version should come too. We expect that this model will come with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine, though it’s still early to speculate about power. We believe that the max output could be similar to the Civic Type R, which is good for about 320 horsepower. In both cases, engines would come in pair with a 6-speed manual transmission.

2023 Acura Integra Release Date and Price

At this point, it is still early to talk about a more precise launch date but we believe that the new 2023 Acura Integra could arrive already in the second half of 2022. When it comes to the price, some sources suggest that the base models could go around 35.000 dollars, while the high-performance Type S would start at around $45.000.
