Design-wise, the 2023 Honda Accord will bring no surprises. We are about to see a familiar design, which has been around since 2017. The current generation still has a lot of good things to offer and we particularly like the chassis setup. This chassis is stiff but also pretty light, considering the model’s size. Furthermore, the suspension setup is well-balanced, even though the Accord is a little bit more about athleticism than about comfort. The handling is great and there is almost no body leaning in corners. The steering is direct and precise, in a typical Honda fashion.
When it comes to the styling, the 2021 update has brought a couple of minor changes. Still, the overall look isn’t much different compared to the initial 2018 model year. Practically, the only changes that happened were a revised grille, new wheel designs, and brighter LED headlights. The 2023 Honda Accord will continue in the same way. Still, we wouldn’t be surprised if we see minor updates like new color options and similar things.
Interior
The same thing goes for interior design. Simply, the current dashboard still looks fresh and modern, while there is also plenty of standard and available equipment. What we particularly like is the high-tech feel of the cabin, which isn’t something we used to see in an Accord. Also, the build quality is very good, while the materials are nice as well. The only complaint goes to sound insulation, which could have been done a little bit better. Things can be slightly noisier at higher speeds when compared to rivals like Hyundai Sonata or VW Passat.
On the other hand, there is plenty of room for the passengers. The front seats are massive and supportive, while we particularly like the driving position. It offers a typical Honda position, which is low and sporty. At the same time, visibility is good in all directions, while the steering wheel looks good and feels nice under hands.
The second row also offers a lot of space. Two adults can accommodate with ease and there is enough headroom even for taller passengers. The cargo area also offers a lot of room. In numbers, that would be 16.7 cubic feet, which is above-average for the segment.
2023 Honda Accord Engines
Things under the hood won’t change either. We are about to see a familiar powertrain offer, which starts with the 1.5-liter turbo-four that puts out 192 horsepower and ensures pretty decent driving dynamics. Even though it comes with CVT, it’s quite fun and engaging to drive. At the same time, it is very efficient. You may count on about 30 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway, which is one of the best results in the class.
If you pick a model with the bigger 2.0-liter turbo-four engine, you may count on some pretty serious performances. This engine puts out 252 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque. Besides strong performance, this version also offers a pretty impressive fuel economy, which goes around 48 mpg in the city and 48 mpg on the highway.

Novelties in this aspect are always possible but we don’t expect to see too many changes for the next year. Most of the things will remain the same, which means that base models should come standard with goodies like dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, push-button start, an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a four-speaker stereo. Additionally, you can get things like remote start, power sunroof, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, HD Radio, satellite radio, eight- and 10-speaker stereos, two additional USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
The same thing goes for safety features.
