2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport

2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport Preview, Specs, Redesign, Features

Honda’s models have always been famous for excellent engineering, especially when it comes to powertrain and overall refinement. On the other hand, this Japanese manufacturer has never been known for making off-roaders, although there were a few attempts back in the day. Even the SUVs Pilot are primarily family haulers but this started to change last year, with the introduction of Trailsport trim. So, we are now the next generation to come in this trim level and bring more serious off-road upgrades. This model should hit the market as the 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport, sometime in the next year.

At this point, we don’t have details but we know this version will bring all kinds of upgrades and make the Pilot off-road capable. We also count on a couple of exclusive exterior and interior styling solutions, while the rest of the design should be pretty similar to the rest of the lineup, which is also getting a full redesign.

The 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport will most likely hit the market in the first half of 2023.

2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport Design

The Pilot will get a full redesign soon and we already know several details about it. First of all, it will ride on a new platform, which will bring various improvements, including a size increase. From what we know so far, the new generation will feature a 2.8-inch longer wheelbase, which promises more passenger space, especially in terms of legroom.

In the case of the 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport, the company presented a couple of teaser photos, which show a more rugged design than before, with some inspiration taken from the recently refreshed Passport. What’s important to say is that the new iteration of Pilot Trailsport will feature more off-road upgrades than the current one. The company promises off-road suspension, with an additional 1 inch of ground clearance. Furthermore, you may expect to see skid plates, all-season tires and an upgraded AWD system. Finally, this version will offer an additional drive mode, called Trail.

Interior

When it comes to interior design, the 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport will benefit from all the updates and upgrades from this redesign. We are about to see a completely new cabin, with nicer materials, more modern features etc. Also, this particular version will bring a couple of exclusive details, such as upholstery, orange stitching, rubber floor mats and more.

Just like the rest of the lineup, the 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport will come with three rows of seats. It will have the capacity to accommodate eight passengers and, as we already mentioned, the longer wheelbase should be highly beneficial in terms of legroom. The current model already features a pretty impressive volume, so we expect nothing less from the new model.

Naturally, the new generation will also come packed with all kinds of new tech features, starting from the new infotainment system, new connectivity features and more.

2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport Engines

The current Trailsport features the same powertrain as the rest of the lineup, so we expect the same from the new generation. Most likely, the current 3.5-liter V6 will carry on, though we wouldn’t be surprised if we see a slight power upgrade. For example, the max output could go up from 280 to 290 horsepower.

It’s quite likely that this won’t be the only powertrain on offer. Many sources speculate about the hybrid version. Details are still unavailable, but rumors suggest a new system, based on a turbo-four engine. Finally, some reports speculate about the performance version, which would feature a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, which is good for about 355 horsepower.

Finally, we expect to see a new 10-speed automatic transmission, which will be another big novelty of this redesign.

2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport Release Date and Price

According to the latest reports, the 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport will arrive sometime in the first half of 2023. Details about the price are still unavailable, but we estimate it could start somewhere around 46.000 dollars.
